This is a question that I’m often asked by clients, friends, and colleagues. It’s a great question and…
I think it’s fair to say that, if I have several people asking me this question, then there are probably many more who would like to know the answer as well… including you.
Everybody has heard at one time or another that they need to eat right and exercise, but what exactly does this mean?
For more than twenty years I have been teaching women and men how to achieve lasting weight loss and fitness success. My most successful program is the 16 Week Total Body Makeover. It’s a wonderful program that gets fantastic results, but there was something missing.
Although I was teaching people how to recognize their current behavior and make beneficial adjustments in regards to exercise and nutrition, they still had questions. They wanted to know exactly what foods they should be eating and what foods they should avoid in order to achieve and maintain lasting weight loss and fitness success.
Though my clients understood the basics of nutrition I soon discovered that most of them were confused when it came to selecting the exact foods that they should place in their shopping cart at their local grocery store.
Consequently, I came to one simple conclusion: Although most of us have the interest and desire to eat healthy, we lack the basic knowledge and information on how to make the most informed decisions when it comes to selecting and eating the most healthful foods. Indeed, shopping for and selecting the right foods to eat can be a daunting task.
Note: I have found that most people have the determination to achieve vibrant health, but they are lacking the vehicle that will get them there.
In response to this growing need, I developed a program that I called the Supermarket Tour. The Supermarket Tour involved taking a group of people to a local grocery store and going on a tour along the perimeter of the store, as well as up and down every aisle, explaining exactly which foods are bad, which foods are disguised, which foods are beneficial, and why.
When I held my first class in the local grocery store I didn’t know how it would be received. However, 100 percent of the people who attended the Supermarket Tour loved it. More importantly, results skyrocketed. Clients reported that they were able to achieve lasting weight loss and fitness success faster, easier, and with less effort than they ever imagined possible.
The Supermarket Tour became a huge success, but there were two problems:
- Because of limited space there was only enough room for a maximum of seven students.
- There was such a large volume of information in the class that students were asking to attend a second and third time.
Better Living With Whole Foods was born out of the necessity to enlighten a growing number of people and give them a reference manual and website that they can refer to again and again. The book contains everything that I teach in a live Supermarket Tour and more. This website is an ever evolving resource and companion guide .
My goal is to empower you with the knowledge to make the most informed, most healthful choices for yourself and your loved ones. Knowledge is power. With this power comes freedom. Freedom to live the way that God intended. Vibrant, healthy, and full of life. Free of sickness and disease. It is with this freedom that we can truly make a difference.
So, that’s it.
I wrote the book and developed this website, so I can help make a difference in your life. And, by applying its principles, you can make a difference in your own life as well as the lives of the ones you love.
Your’s in health,
