I was reading the Health section in the Los Angeles Times and came across an article titled, “Advances in treatments for enlarged prostates”.
One of the treatments mentioned was Botox. I couldn’t believe it.
Botox for your Prostate? Is this for real? It sounded very silly to me.
Well, unfortunately, the answer is yes. Botox injections are now considered a viable treatment for Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH), also known as an enlarged prostate…
There are four points of interest from this article that I would like to highlight and discuss.
1. Botox and Viagra are now considered acceptable as a treatment for Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia.
2. There are a multitude of drugs being developed for the treatment, but not the cure, of an enlarged prostate.
3. Developing an enlarged prostate is the first time many men confront the likelihood of taking drugs every day for the rest of their lives.
4. Diet, especially whole foods nutrition, is not considered a viable option for treating Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia.
What is the incidence of BPH and what are its symptoms?
At least 2 of 3 sixtysomething men have symptoms of an enlarged prostate gland, the organ that produces semen. Symptoms can be merely bothersome — the need to urinate often, poor urine flow and incomplete emptying of the bladder. Or they can be serious enough to require treatment: bladder and kidney dysfunction; stones or infection in the bladder; and urinary retention — inability to urinate at all.
I agree that an enlarged prostate is a serious problem, but I do not agree with the methodology being used to treat it.
Botox and Viagra for your Prostate
Let’s start with Botox.
The first and most obvious question is how do they inject Botox in your prostate? It seems scary to me.
The second concern I have deals with what Botox actually does.
Botox paralyzes the site that it is injected into.
Your prostate is responsible for production of semen.
I don’t know about you, but I don’t want anything paralyzed that has to do with the production or excretion of my semen.
The whole thing seems very scary and equally ridiculous to me.
What about Viagra?
It seems that Viagra is supposed to improve urination as well as erectile function.
My personal opinion:
This seems like a shameless ploy by the makers of Viagra to market and sell their expensive drugs to a new set of potential
victims.
If the makers of Viagra can convince medical doctors to prescribe this drug to patients, they will generate billions of dollars in ongoing revenue.
Why? Because doctors feel that drug treatment for an enlarged prostate must be maintained for the rest of your life, which means that anyone who is prescribed Viagra for an enlarged prostate would be required to take this highly toxic drug for the rest of their lives.
Which leads us into our next dicussion…
Developing an enlarged prostate is the first time many men confront the likelihood of taking drugs every day for the rest of their lives.
As we just mentioned medical doctors feel that drug treatment for an enlarged prostate must be maintained for the rest of your life.
This translates in to billions upon billions of dollars for the pharmaceutical industry.
I find it very interesting that these drug companies are spending millions of dollars to develop drugs for long term treatment of Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia, while there is no mention of any research being done to find a cure for BPH.
They are doing it again:
This is an ongoing theme with the major pharmaceutical companies.
Develop drugs that will maintain your illness, but not cure it.
Everything from diabetes, women’s hormonal problems, AIDS, heart disease, and now BPH.
All of these disease processes are treated with drugs that maintain the disease without any help going towards a cure.
I feel that this is one of the most despicable practices that are allowed in our world today. To me, these practices are nothing short of criminal.
Why is this happening?
Why? Because there is no money in the cure. Plain and simple. It’s all about the money. It’s all about higher returns for investors.
Which leads us into the next point of discussion…
Diet, especially whole foods nutrition, is not considered a viable option for treating Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia.
The following is a quote from a medical doctor who was highlighted in the L.A. Times article:
“People still have this notion that they can ‘make the disease go away,’ “. They cannot, he adds. “You stop the medication, the prostate actually physically grows back.”
In other words, take drugs for the rest of your life, but don’t change your diet.
Look, it’s a well known fact that most diseases, including diabetes, heart disease, and obesity are the consequence of our Western lifestyle.
Most notably, eating the Standard American Diet (SAD) and lack of beneficial exercise.
Well, I’m here to tell you that symptoms of Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia are definitely a result of our lifestyle as well.
I speak from experience, so this isn’t opinion, it’s fact.
My journey:
About a year ago I went to a naturopathic doctor who performed a series of tests on me, including muscle tests.
Now, as far as I knew, I didn’t have any symptoms for anything.
I told her that I was healthy as can be. I eat extremely well and I exercise on a frequent basis. I agreed to the muscle tests, so I could see what she actually does in her practice and I could use her as a referral source for my valued clients.
During the muscle testing I did extremely well. In fact the doctor told me that she had never tested anybody who did as well as me…
Then she tested my prostate and I tested weak.
The doctor told me that my prostate was inflamed. However, she told me I should feel really good about myself because most people test weak for a minimum of 3 things; I only tested weak for one.
I told the doctor that she was wrong. I feel great.
Then she asked me if I have problems with urination.
Well, I thought about it and she was right. I was urinating on a frequent basis. I had to pee all day long and when I had to go, I had to go. It couldn’t wait.
It’s strange, but I hadn’t really considered it a problem until then.
The Whole Food Cure
The doctor proceeded to give me a series of tests with food.
The results: I tested weak for corn, soy, and wheat.
The doctor told me that if I stopped eating these substances my frequent urination would go away and I would be back to normal again.
Here’s the interesting thing. The doctor told me that there are some holistic supplements that I could take along with the change in diet, but she knew my aversion to taking pills, both prescription and over the counter, so she told me that I should be able to remedy the situation exclusively with whole foods.
Well, I completely cut wheat, corn, and soy out of my diet for two weeks and then went back to see the doctor for a follow up visit.
I already new the answer before she tested me.
I was completely cured. My prostate was no longer inflamed.
More importantly, my frequency of urination went away. I no longer have to pee all day long and I can comfortable hold it if need be.
This was remarkable to me. I was able to completely cure myself in two weeks time without the use of any harmful drugs.
Note: the doctor did not expect me to get such beneficial results in such a short period of time. When she tested me n the follow up visit, I tested strong in every area of my body. She had not seen this before.
Now, here’s the point.
You have to pay attention to the last statement above:
“I was able to completely cure myself in two weeks time without the use of any harmful drugs.”
In other words, there is no money in curing people through holistic whole foods nutrition.
The big money is in maintaining a disease with harmful drugs for the rest of your life.
As Chris Rock said: “It’s all about the come back.”
Isn’t that horrible?
This is one of the many reasons that I do what I do.
To provide you with vital information that will help you and your loved ones remain healthy vibrant and full of life in a natural and holistic manner.
Another point of interest that I would like you to consider:
Healing through whole foods happens quickly. If done correctly, disease processes can be alleviated in a matter of days or weeks.
This is what I call- Better Living With Whole Foods.
Keep coming back to this website often. You’ll be glad that you did.
Feel free to leave me a comment. I’d love to hear from you.

This is really interesting. I would have never thought botox for prostate cancer. Something to think about.
